Libertine Flowers presents ‘The Artist Editions’, a beautifully curated collection of designer vases and vessels, celebrating the world of flowers during art month. Showcasing collections from three artists renowned for their design and statement pieces. Commissioned by Libertine Flowers, sculptor and ceramicist Katarina Wells has created a collection of ceramic vessels from her studio in Sydney Australia. A keen lover of flowers herself, she understands the complexities of design required to place flowers forward. As such, the collection has been specifically designed to showcase floral arrangements and botanical landscapes. Every detail has been created to elevate arrangements. Each unique piece has been crafted using natural materials and developed from the artists’ own slips and oxide glazes essential for containing floral arrangements.
The Ikebana vase, designed by Jaime Hayon, nods to the centuries-old Japanese art of flower arranging. Each mouth-blown vase is designed to honour every flower placed within it, from stem to crown. Jaime Hayon is a Spanish artist and designer. As a teenager he submerged himself in skateboard culture and graffiti art, the foundation of the detailed, bold, yet whimsical imagery so imminent in his work today.
